Magic Forest - Australia

(Years 1-3)

Students participate in a roleplay using puppets and costumes to explore the basic needs of our native species and threats to their survival. They discover that protecting trees ensures that forests stay magical places for both animals and people.

Who am I education experience at Perth Zoo.
Who Am I?

(Years K-3)

In this fun and interactive experience students discover the identity of a mystery creature by comparing animal groups and their coverings. An understanding of classification gives students a better appreciation of biodiversity within animal groups.

Bush Party education experience at Perth Zoo.
Bush Party

(Years K-2)

After hearing an original story, children explore the Australian Bushwalk wearing colourful native animal costumes. Students report back on how our native species meet their basic needs for survival and identify actions they can take to help conserve our bushland habitats.

Magic Rainforest - Asia

(Years 1-3)

Students participate in a roleplay using puppets and costumes to explore the basic needs of Asian Rainforest species and threats to their survival. They discover that protecting trees ensures that rainforests stay magical places for both animals and people.

Discovering Australia: English as an Additional Language
(Suitable for EAL students of all ages)
Duration 45 minutes

Students will discover Australian animals through hands-on activities and learn what makes our animals so unique. Plenty of opportunity for both group discussion and photos.
