Rainforest Detectives

(Pre-primary - Year 2)

Oh no - the animals’ lunch boxes have been jumbled up! Students go on an adventure through our Asian Rainforest to investigate the basic needs of animals. Your junior detectives will use the information they collect to help the keeper work out which animal needs which lunch box.

Who Am I?

(Years K-3)

In this fun and interactive experience students discover the identity of a mystery creature by comparing animal groups and their coverings. An understanding of classification gives students a better appreciation of biodiversity within animal groups.

After hearing an original story, children explore the Australian Bushwalk wearing colourful native animal costumes. Students report back on how our native species meet their basic needs for survival and identify actions they can take to help conserve our bushland habitats.

Zoo Fest

(Years K-6)

Celebrate the end of the school year Zoo style! Like a true wildlife detective, join us at Zoo Fest to follow the clues to learn all about the tracks and traces that animals leave. Through a series of activities and games, students will not only become more attune to evidence in nature that tells about resident animals in the wild, but also how it takes a team to save wildlife.

Discovering Australia: English as an Additional Language
