Welcome to Perth Zoo

From the dangerous to the unusual, find out what it is like working with Perth Zoo’s animals at Wild Vets.

Participants in Year 9 to Year 12 spend the day with an experienced zoo and wildlife veterinarian and other Zoo staff going behind-the-scenes and getting involved in a range of activities and animal encounters.

Registrations will be processed on a strict first in first served basis. Placement into program sessions will be allocated in this order at time of registration and payment.

If you would like to be in the same session as another participant, please be advised that we need to receive all registrations together and have the request clearly specified on all documents. Requests are subject to availability at the time of enrolment.

Please note: We encourage parents to take the opportunity to drop-off their children at this program, and those who purchase an entry ticket can then explore the Zoo.

Do Your Part

Saving Wildlife doesn’t have to mean volunteering in a sanctuary or heading out on an anti-poaching patrol or auditing penguins on an ice-flow…or even running a zoo! There is no shortage of things you can do every single day from your living room, car or phone to help make a difference.
