Brilliant Biodiversity will not be offered in 2025, instead check out Biology Day.
Keep an eye on our website for exciting program changes in 2025.
Students investigate measurements of biodiversity, different monitoring techniques, current threats and Western Australian conservation action including Perth Zoo’s involvement in recovery plans.
Overview
Conservation of biodiversity is essential to the survival of life on earth. Perth Zoo plays an important role through
its ‘Research, Rehabilitation, Rear and Breed for Release’ programs but each of us individually and collectively can also contribute to saving wildlife. Students take part in a formal presentation which includes live animal encounters and biological artefacts. This session takes place in one of our indoor education experience areas.
This experience is available onsite at Perth Zoo and online.
