From tasty jack-o-lanterns to ‘creepy’ crawly treats, Perth Zoo keepers have been cooking up some wild Halloween-themed surprises for the Zoo’s animal residents.

The meerkat mob in particular enjoyed the ultimate ‘boo’ffet of delectable bugs to celebrate!

This eerie enrichment is all part of Perth Zoo’s commitment to animal welfare, keeping our beloved residents curious and engaged.

It’s not just about the animals having a ‘gourd’ time–this Halloween enrichment is also about stimulating the animal’s natural behaviours and challenging their minds so they can lead happy, healthy lives.
