Mustard Catering was selected from many outstanding WA competitors to take home the coveted award which recognises excellence in the hospitality industry.
Perth Zoo’s acting CEO, Claire Wright, said: “We are very proud of our partners, Mustard Catering for winning this award.”
“Despite some stiff competition, Mustard Catering at Perth Zoo excelled in two categories, being titled both venue caterer and wedding caterer of the year.”
Like all entrants, Mustard Catering were judged across 37 categories of service, culinary excellence, ambience and value for money.
The Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence Awards has a rigorous, objective judging system which judges the entire event dining experience rather than a single element of service or specific dish.
“The award showcases our commitment to providing a premium experience across all of our operations. This includes creating wild experiences for our daily Zoo visitors but also for groups enjoying after hours functions.”
“There is nowhere else in Perth where you can have your wedding photo taken alongside an Asian Elephant or enjoy a night time function serenaded by the roar of the lions. The Zoo is certainly a very special venue.”
“Being awarded WA Caterer of the Year adds to our uniqueness,” said Claire.
