Catch a free Keeper Talk
Our FREE
Keeper Talks are the best way to see animals in action!
As well as learning from the Keepers who know them best, you’ll get to enjoy the animals exhibiting their natural behaviours like foraging, swimming, or hunting!
You can plan your journey ahead of time by checking our website, and you can also visit our fabulous Docents at the Information Centre for the best things to see each day!
Plus! After the talk, you might get to ask your burning questions.
Our keepers are experts when it comes to animal welfare and conservation.
They have incredible stories from their time working with wildlife and love to share their knowledge with our visitors.
Be sure to ask about your favourite species!
Rain or shine!
Slip on your welly boots because the Zoo on a rainy day is a best kept secret!
Many of our animals love to frolick about in the water - our rhino Bakari particularly enjoys the rain! Lots of our residents love cool days, and you might catch them out basking in patches of sun during the winter months to warm up.
If you want to escape the rain, you can visit our scaly mates in the Australian Reptile Encounter, discover the Aussie night life in our Nocturnal House, and enjoy a hot cuppa’ undercover at Habitat Café.
Visiting on a hot sunny day? Cool down with an ice cream and the refreshing mist machines in our new playground, and our Rainforest Retreat!
