General wedding ceremony information
Before booking your wedding or commitment ceremony at Perth Zoo, please read the following useful information.
+ What happens if it rains on the day of an outdoor ceremony?
Outdoor weddings carry an element of risk due to factors beyond our control, such as weather. Although we will endeavour to find the most appropriate alternate venue in the event of rain, options are limited and subject to availability.
+ Can our wedding guests explore the Zoo before the ceremony?
If you have booked your ceremony and reception with us, your guests are very welcome to wander the Zoo grounds between events until 5pm when they will need to gather at the reception venue.
+ Can I bring my own decorations?
Additional decor may be brought into the Zoo provided the wedding coordinator is advised 30 days prior to your event and as long as all Perth Zoo (standard) regulations are abided by. Balloons, rice and confetti cannot be used inside Perth Zoo. Please note, coordinated delivery times will apply.
+ Can I have a private viewing of the venues?
A private viewing of our venue is available by appointment with our Wedding Coordinators. Once confirmed, you are welcome to access the Zoo with your bridal party for one wedding rehearsal, by appointment.
+ Is there parking available at the Zoo?
Ticketed parking is available in the car park on the corner of Labouchere/Richardson Roads (opposite Rothschild’s function centre) and in car parks on Labouchere and Mill Point Road(s) respectively. ACROD parking is available at both the private Zoo car park adjacent to the traffic lights in front of the Zoo and in the Windsor Park car park on Labouchere Road which are both a short, flat distance from the Zoo entry. Bays suited to waiting stretch vehicles can be found at the carpark off Mill Point Road.
+ Is Perth Zoo accessibility friendly?
If you have guests with mobility issues attending, please keep in mind that although accessible by wheelchair, some areas of the Zoo have natural, uneven surfaces or inclines.
