About the Youth Working Group

The Youth Working Group ensures young voices are at the heart of shaping Perth Zoo’s new Youth Program. As a member, you’ll work alongside Zoo staff and fellow youth leaders to design meaningful experiences that make a real impact.

What you’ll do:
  • Co-create the Youth Program by sharing ideas and recommendations on its structure and activities.
  • Design and deliver activities for participants during the program’s pilot phase.
  • Help craft promotional materials that showcase the program and its impact.
  • Contribute to creative elements such as uniform design and program branding.
  • Support the development of an evaluation framework to measure success.

As part of the journey, you’ll gain behind-the-scenes insights into how Perth Zoo saves species, contribute to real-world conservation projects, and develop skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and advocacy, along with hands-on experience in zoology and conservation science.

This is your chance to influence, innovate, and make a lasting impact on youth conservation at Perth Zoo.

Your ideas. Your energy. Your chance to drive change.
