NEW! School holiday program for children in Year 3 to Year 6

This fun, school holiday program will take kids on an exciting Zoo adventure where they will investigate the challenges animals face, learn scientific skills and solve puzzles to become a Warrior for Wildlife!    

Warriors for Wildlife offers a unique experience where children will;
  • get a meet and greet with some of the amazing people working at Perth Zoo
  • participate in hands-on, interactive challenges to discover ways they can help wildlife
  • enjoy a special experience not available to general zoo visitors
Choose from five unique Warriors for Wildlife themes:​
 

Wildlife Tails with Scales​ – 9, 13 January 2025

  • Get up close with some of our scaly friends. 

  • Use scientific equipment to find a healthy environment for reptiles. 

  • Become even more obsessed with reptiles as we learn about the amazing adaptations they have to survive. 

 

Wildlife Rangers – 6, 15, 20 January 2025

  • Go behind-the-scenes for a sneak peek at animals habitat.  

  • Discover the roles of wildlife rangers around the world. 

  • Take part in Jungle School to see if you have the skills an orangutan needs to survive in the wild. 

 

Wildlife Protectors – 14, 23 January 2025

  • Participate in a special Nocturnal House experience before it opens to the public as we help the keepers prepare the Western Ringtail Possum's food for the day.  

  • Explore Perth Zoo’s conservation actions for wildlife on an adventure through the Zoo.  

  • Channel your conservation hero to fight off threats in team challenges.  

 

Wildlife Hideaways and Hangouts – 7, 17 January 2025

  • Go behind-the-scenes to meet a keeper and explore one of our animals habitats.
  • Get up close to some local species in their natural habitats.

  • Put your habitat skills to the test as your team designs and builds an animal habitat out of LEGO!


Wildlife Watchers – 10, 21 January 2025

  • Discover some of the monitoring methods used in Perth Zoos Native Species Breeding Program on a behind the scenes tour. 

  • Observe animal behaviours in their exhibit to understand how we can monitor animals in the wild. 

  • Create your own wildlife watching journal.
