This exclusive experience takes you into our Native Species Breeding Program to see where critically endangered species like the Western Swamp Tortoise and the endangered Numbat are bred for release into the wild.
Guided by a dedicated keeper, you’ll explore areas not usually open to the public and learn about the vital work involved in preparing these species for life in their natural habitats.

- Zoo entry is not included. A valid Zoo ticket or membership is required.
- Closed‑toe shoes must be worn.
- Arrive at the meeting point no later than 5 minutes prior to your start time. Zoo staff run to a tight schedule, and late arrivals or no shows will forfeit the experience.
- Date changes can be made up to 24 hours prior to your booking via your Perth Zoo account.
- Animal Experiences are non-refundable.
