- Wild gift for all mums with free entry to Perth Zoo on Mother's Day
- Mothers will not have to purchase a ticket at the gate or online this Sunday
- Perth Zoo is home to WA's oldest reproducing mother at 71-years-old
Perth Zoo is celebrating Mother's Day offering all mums free entry this Sunday 14 May as a special gift.
Mothers will not be required to purchase a ticket at the gate or online, with the Zoo encouraging families to spend the day together.
Perth Zoo is home to a range of native and exotic animal mothers of all shapes and sizes.
Kitoto the giraffe lives with her daughter Zahara in the African Savannah, while Javan gibbon mum Sunda is kept busy swinging after her adventurous three-year-old Asta at the island near the Zoo's entrance.
Perth Zoo is also home to Western Australia's oldest reproducing mother 'CZ1', a 71-year-old western swamp tortoise that is still participating in a breeding program which helps safeguard the future of the endangered species.
