  • Fathers will not need to reserve a ticket at the gate or online

Perth Zoo is celebrating Father's Day by offering free entry for all dads on Sunday, 4 September 2022.

The zoo will provide free admission for all dads to encourage families to have a wild day out together.

Visitors can say hello to the many animal dads calling Perth Zoo home, including Armani the giraffe - whose two latest calves are approaching their first birthday - and Memphis the Southern White Rhino, who lives next door to his son Bakari.

Any fathers coming in on Sunday can enter via the main gates and the ticket price will be waived.

Perth Zoo is open every day 9am to 5pm. More information at https://perthzoo.wa.gov.au/

Comments attributed to Environment Minister Reece Whitby:

"A visit to Perth Zoo is a family tradition, which is why we're giving dads free entry on Father's Day.

"I'd encourage families to pop into Perth Zoo, a magical urban wilderness, and make some magical memories together.

"With heaps of free zookeeper talks, food trucks, free barbecues, opportunities for guided tours and animal encounters - it's a great day out for the whole family.

This free entry offer is also an opportunity for us to say thanks to all the dads for introducing their children to the wonderful world of wildlife, and helping the next generation develop an appreciation for animal conservation."
