The Easter celebrations have kicked off early at Perth Zoo, with animals enjoying egg-stra special enrichment!

Enrichment is an important part of all our animals' daily routines, but to celebrate the holidays, keepers have been serving it up this week with a special Easter twist.

The Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroos searched through special Easter baskets to snack on tasty flowers and boiled eggs.

The Asian-small Clawed Otters devoured a Good Friday-inspired seafood feast.

While Tasmanian Devils put their foraging skills to the test to find boiled eggs hidden throughout their habitat.

While it might all look like fun and games, these enrichment activities are carefully planned out by our dedicated keepers and form a key part of our top-notch welfare-based care.

Enrichment ensures our animals are presented with new challenges everyday to encourage them to use their natural instincts and problem-solving skills.

Lucky visitors may even catch a glimpse of animals enjoying special Easter enrichment over the holiday period. We're open everyday over the Easter long weekend from 9am - 5pm.

Not only are there animal friends to visit, but you can also stomp into new immersive dinosaur experience Zoorassic Park, catch a free keeper talk and much more!
