Project Numbat are dedicated to protecting endangered Numbats and support important conservation work to save Numbats from extinction.
We provide in-kind support to Project Numbat to assist and raise awareness of their important work assisting the Numbat Recovery Program.
They raise community awareness about the plight of endangered Numbats, and help with habitat management, population monitoring, feral predator control, education programs, and fundraising for Numbat conservation.
Perth Zoo is the only zoological institution in the world that breeds Numbats.
Through our Native Species Breeding Program, we have released more than 300 of these precious marsupials back into protected wild habitat to guard them from extinction.
